I found some of the story to be a bit flawed, but with using ingenuity, and the little information given about the politics and given the very unlikely plot, it was written well. Congrats though, because you have given the war a better picture. Did you mention Taraba though?
Now, even though it's a story, there are too many things about it that doesn't make it plausible. It would have been really cool to have found a plot that didn't revolve around oil, and somehow managed to make a war completely conventional without the use of at least one ICBM.

Iran is not going to be a threat anytime soon. Where has everyone been? They enriched uranium to about 3% grade, and you need about 80 or better for an ICBM. It would take thousands of centrifuges and years for them to come up with enough enriched uranium for one. Then you have all this testing and stuff... I could see some of this maybe in 2009+, but 2007?
The mapping job at the end was well....stupid. Plus the addition that there is no more MAD? So what happened? The countries lauched all there nukes and fried eachother, or did they just magicly disapear. Not setting any records for the best story line ever. Especialy the US being part of the EU? WTF is that, there accross a fucking ocean, not to mention that no way in hell would the US let China keep Alaska. Story gets a D+ at best.

The EU is essentially the new NATO, I probably should have mentioned that. Pretty much all NATO members are in the EU except for the USA. And it was rather crippled at the time. How would you like to face the PAC by yourself.
For Alaska, the USA doesnt want to restart the war. Its similar to Germany at the end of WW1. They could have carried on, but had had enough of the war.

Talon, all you would have to do is drift from Dice's creative thinking like change the date and assume other crap went on to make this story into a possible Tom Clancy novel.

The United states went and defeated the MEC and PLA in their respected regions. Without a single death.
Armoured Fury, the MEC and PLA invasion of the U.S, was just Osama Bin Ladens dream. And even then, the PLA and MEC were crushed without a single U.S loss. The EU did not participate, ever, any stories about the MEC, PLA or EU winning anything is just a lie by commies and terrorists. God bless white and black (and ONLY white and black) America.

And to Capt. Foley....the US would have their asses kicked if they took on both China (which has the largest, and one of the best trained, armies in the world), and the WHOLE of the Middle East. If you think otherwise, then why hasn't Bush gone and taken over yet, and why are you loosing people every day in Iraq if you are oh so amazing?
