hey all ive just re-formatted my pc

2.00 ram
xp-home sp2
the prblem i am having is that for some reason everytime i try to install the bf2 orig i get a error stating that i have lost data 2. from the disc and its unable to safe
ive tried all the normall stuff safe mode, cleaning the disc with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, and still cant seem to pick up the file, i am almost certain that the disc is screwd somhw as i have even tried to copy the data 2 file to a new file on my desktop, but still get the same prob, and hints tips on what else i can try would be most helpfull
