Hi, I am new to this, but I wonder if anyone could help me, I was surfing the net and I came across some screenshots of BF1918, BF2 set in WWI it looked so cool, it was all written in German so I could not understand it, so is it a game? an expansion disc? or my imagination? can anybody shed any light on the subject?

Sure. First BF1918 is a WW1 modification for Battle Field 1942. They are working on the same for Battle field 2.

The website is in both german and english.

Thier is a small logo in the upper right to set the site for english. or just use this link

Also if you check in the files section they released an alpha plane mod. Just as a taste. Had 1 or 2 of thier planes in a standard BF2 map, so you could fly arround a bit.

is the site I prefer to use for mod news. Thier are several nice looking mods in development for BF2. Forgotten Hope, a ww2 mod should be good. also I would like to see Eve of Distruction, A Veitnam mod.

I hardly ever played Standard Battle field 1942. Modded was definatly the way to go.

sorry for thebump, but i just downloaded the bf1918 mod, i did not find any mulitplayer so i decided singleplayer, the bad thing is that i could not choose any maps, therefore it is usless for me that's why i am wondering if anyone can help me with this problem (please) so basiclly, what do i need to do?
