Hey guys, I havent yet gotten a higher rank to unlock anything, but how is it, do I unlock BF2SF guns INSTEAD of the normal BF2 guns? I mean do I lose an unlock (or better said the possibility to unlock a new one) for the normal BF2 when I unlock a SF gun?

thanks

Basicly there's two tiers of unlocks now. You have to unlock the original BF2 weapon for the classes that have SF weapon unlocks. After you unlock the originals you can choose to pick the SF unlock of that class, or another BF2 unlock. Personally I got all my BF2 unlocks with the extra unlocks first since the SF unlocks aren't available in SF maps.

I believe the SF unlocks ARE awailable in SF but only if you play as British SAS.

All of the unlockable SF weapons for regular BF2 are the standard weapons in SF, based on your team.  The MG36, G36E, F2000 and MP7 are all standard SAS weapons, the SCAR-L is the SEAL SpecOp weapon.  The regular BF2 unlocks are available to use in SF if you so choose, but there are no SF only unlocks.

it is kind of unfair that the sas get basicly all of the unlocks and the rest get nothing...

That's not exactly accurate. When choosing my most recent unlocks I had the opportunity to unlock the G-36E despite not having the L85 yet. Yet for some reason the MG36 is not available and I really don't want to get the PKM. Don't really care much for the SCAR-L or the MP7...

Did you unlock the L85 afterwards then? According to your stats, you have unlocked the L85...

yeah, I chose the 85 because I wanted the pimpalicious scope. the g36e is a nice gun but i suck with burst firing. the point is that I was given the option of picking the SF gun

The only gun that I don't have the option of selecting is the only one I want, the MG36. The PKM drops in accuracy for me and it's gonna be quite a while before I can unlock more guns. I still haven't chosen my final unlock so I should probably just get it anyways, doesn't look like the MG36 is going to be an option for me anytime soon. The MP7 seems pretty weak to me and the SCAR-L is nice but doesn't feel better than the G36 to me.

The unlocks in SF ARE the new weapons, you don't need to have them unlocked to use them in SF maps. The ONLY purpose for SF unlocks is to use in plain old BF2. On that note though the SCAR-L and SCAR-H are available on SEAL maps.

Well, that's the way it was suppose to work. Probably a bug about the medic rifle.  Either way, minus that bug it works that way for the rest of them.
