Now everytime i put in a CD to find the files, the mouse and keyboard lockup, and i have to restart the computer in order to try another CD. Does anyone know how to bypass this?
I am in the process of re-installing windows on my gaming computer. When installation is almost complete, it prompts me for the file "nv4_mini.sys" Off of my nVIDIA Network Bus driver CD. Now the problem is, My computer never had that CD, because those files are included on the motherboard software, which doesnt have the files anyways.
Now everytime i put in a CD to find the files, the mouse and keyboard lockup, and i have to restart the computer in order to try another CD. Does anyone know how to bypass this?

1. I dont have Ghost, this is an unpartitioned re-install on windows to replace lost registry files.
2. More problamatic, I do not have a floppy drive.

umm do you have any friends with a floppy drive or a comp usa or something like that near by? you can steal one out of your friends comp or fly your chopper over to computer store and pick one up. they are really cheap.

/gasses up chopper

And no, i dont have my analog ones around anymore
Everything I've found said that file is part of the video card drivers. If you didn't do a full blown format of the drive, it may simply be looking for a file that it knows about, but not where to find it. In this case you may want to use the search function and see if the file is already on your computer. Otherwise, try (re)installing the video card drivers.
Why did I know that this post would be from you Stryyker.... ....

get mac, this never happens
Ive tried reinstalling the Videocard drivers, but since the hard drive has been formatted, well, i cant really install anything until windows is done
just go to comp usa or somethin like that and buy you a shitty floppy drive and connector, it's the easiest way to solve your problem

Thats very odd ... never heard of it insisting on video drivers .... is the a pure install or some sort of restore?stryyker wrote:

I would call it more of a restore than an install. Im basically copying over my current partition with a fresh copy of windows

Right, so my point stands. You did not format the drive. The registry still has information pertaining to a device, but isn't sure where to locate the driver. Since the drive was nor formatted, simply search out the file and point Windows to that location.stryyker wrote:

ahh... ok i will do some searchie searchie thenAgent_Dung_Bomb wrote:
