C:\EA Downloader\cache\[your EA userid]
I sniffed around today to see how the EA Downloader was saving the 2142 pre-load... I noticed that I've still got setup folders for Armored Fury and the BF2142 demo sitting around taking up 385MB and 1.01GB respectively.
They're not necessary for loading the game, which you can see from the fact that "date modified" reflects the date you installed them. I also tried running the games itself after moving the folders - they load with no problems. Clearly these are just temp setup files.
AF is a folder named eagamesbf2-2006online_map_contentbf2af
2142 demo is a folder named eagamesbf2142online_contentbf2142_demo
So you can delete these folders with no worries, but before you do you might consider throwing any paid content (full games, map packs) onto a disc. That way if you ever need to reinstall you won't have to waste time downloading everything again.
