this is my final poll i write... i need as many bf2 gamers to vote in this poll.. really important that you vote and write whatever comments you want to write... very big deciding factor whether or not i want to spend $50 USD on this game..


the demo could have been better... that is for certain.. demo is poor, i just hope the game is not as crappy as the demo or worse than beta becuase if it is....... EA/ DICE are in the shitbowl and there is no way they can recover from that.  In addition, ill save my $50.00 for gas money to go to school.

i plan to do an upgrade on my computer this december, but i am not doing an upgrade for a piece of crap game so i need to know from reviews and from the community about how good or how bad this game is in the next several weeks or months.

Demos are allways poor... What do you think...  Ask some of them that has played the Beta with unlocks! watch some Beta vids...

Theres a couple of reviews floating round on the tinternet already........I think most of them say its good (just like BF2) but not a whole load better.

Most previews I read (of magazines that participated in the beta) were quite positive, so I expect the reviews of the retail version to be even more positive.

Personally, I actually start to enjoy the game. Yes, it is different than BF2 in a lot of aspects, but that does not make it a bad game. It just says you need to adapt to a new game and from my personal expression after having played two maps and being familiar with the storyline, I think BF2142 is definitely worth playing.
I said it before, I'll say it again. I won't play it as excessively as I've played BF2, but that is much more caused by my unwillingness to spend endless hours playing any game than by the game's quality.

Official sources (Gaming Magazines and stuff) will never say that 2142 is worse than bf2. I'm not saying about forum reviews because they are based on personal opinion, not on the statistic. Most likely magazines  will defend the point that bf2142 is an improvement over bf2.

uhh, I **immediately** bought the retail version of bf2 after I disconnected from the demo server. As I'm finding out in discussions on bf2142's demo, a lot of people did the exact same thing. I voted the reviews are going to potray bf2142 as "awesome." Why? A lot of reviews I read aren't critical in evaluating games, and it is a critical perspective that will reveal bf2142 as inferior to bf2. By itself, bf2142 isn't bad, but we have bf2, a better game by far, imo. My point is bf2142 sucks, because I enjoy games based on my cumulative experience of past games, so if the new game doesn't noticably improve on the old, I'm sticking with the old. A lot of people will probably get the game for a "fresh" experience though, which will be in line with the reviews. I could be wrong though, cuz cs is still incredibly strong after the release of cs:s. Why? MAYBE because cs:s was, at essense, a graphical upgrade to cs 1.6, with a few minor gameplay changes. I see bf2142 as the same: a few minor-to-moderate gameplay changes, with NO strong improvement on bf2's gameplay, WITH the same old bugs running rampant.

Slightly alternative gameplay, minus the improvement and plus the ctds? Bf2142 aint worth it unless you got money to burn.

fyi I'm waiting for the reviews on bf2142 to come out. If they TOTALLY suck, then I wouldn't worry about getting bf2142. If they say the game is truly good, then I won't stubbornly hold on to my impressions of the demo, and I'll buy the full game:p

Yeah im with you, when bf2 came out as i demo i thought yeah this is the business but where 2142 is different is the demo is just that a taster and unlike bf2 not a full game, i can see the gameplay drastically change once folk start to upgrade there kits and mines and nades claymore and thing come back into play, im willing to give it a go and see how it fairs
