This is not a persuasive statement, this is just to prepare you for the inevitable.

I will start with arguement "A", consisting of "DICE needs to fix this [insert thing here]"

-Now for the most part, DICE had fixed ALOT of the gameplay things that people have whined about, i.e Grenade Laucher, AA, TV Missiles. People bitched for a year straight, and DICE tried as hard as they could to facilitate those needy people.

-Arguement "B", "I refuse to buy 2142, I am going to play Quake Wars"

-Now, Quake Wars really hasnt stepped into the ring with the Battlefield series before, therefore, when the game is out, ID will be getting SO MUCH SHIT from the people who bitched about BF2, that ID will end up nerfing alot of the nifty features in Quake Wars.

Needless to say, Battlefield 2 spawned a whole community of whining little pricks, that move in packs, with the sole group mentality to get the game so that it has everything they want.

Given time, ID will fall victim to these problems too, but they will probably be more efficient at patching all the things you dont want in.

Its food for thought, so think about it.

Arguement A - 1.3 just pushed me over the edge
Arguement B - Im going to wait for a couple of weeks to see what people say about the whole game (Im expecting crap so who knows, i might be saving my money)

I think it looks good but not sure if I will like a game that only supports up to 32 players total for multi-play mode. I'll decide after playing the demo I guess. I really wanna see a FPS type game with large battles with hundreds of people per side.

I never whined about BF2 but when I saw so many things nerfed and destroyed for the mass lemmings, my heart broke into a whining spiral
The most important issues caused by all this redone coding, never saw full daylight because of all this bullshit first priority nerfing, you will see that all those whiners will be gone soon and we are left with the crap they asked for ! Will there be another patch.. don't bet on it ! 2142 is the future !

I think ID will be more consious of thier players, and better spotters of unskilled bitchers. Its been said before, but the hour requirement for the Sharpshooter medal proves the sheer lack of real productive thought that EA/DICE puts into thier games.

But, Ill still play BF2, try out 2142, and try quake wars. ID also has seemed to be in touch with the gaming community. EA is just a mass producing greedy company. BF2 would be PERFECT if EA wouldve charged for the patches.

What makes you think Id will behave exactly the way DICE has? That's ridiculous. For one, Quake Wars probably won't have shitloads of bugs, not to mention more created with every patch, like BF2 has. This is because they have competent programmers and care about customer loyalty, unlike DICE and EA, who apparently feel they are bestowing a gift upon their customers by releasing buggy games and REFUSING to fix bugs over multiple patches.

People wouldn't whine about BF2 so much if it was designed and programmed properly from the beginning.
The support that supposedly should correct those major mistakes should resemble that of a professional company.
EA's image shows that they desire money at the expense of quality.
Just look at NBA Live 07: http://www.nbalive.org/portal/page/525

This is just some of the small things that has happened over the year of BF2.
Special forces lost 3 medals, a ribbon, 2 unlocks, and 3 maps because it was forced to be released prematurely than expected. The executive producer for BF2SF didn't even know that the Ariel Specialist Service Ribbon wasn't even obtainable to the players...
The two packages (Euro Force and Armored Fury) were originally planned to be given out free. EA charged money for them.
EA lied about their 1.3 patch being released on February 18th. (Euro Force was delayed)
Patch 1.4 was over 2 months late than what they had given for a release date.
Red/Blue Name Tag bug has never been fixed.
Patches add their share of problems than correct them.
The list goes on...

I will buy Quake Wars but I refuse to buy BF2142, because I won it in a contest. But about the spawning of whiny pricks? It's true, the game was always good (in terms of gameplay) in every version I found lots of fun (though in 1.3 it was quite sparce due to the CTDs and server crashes). I never whinned to EA or anyone about the gameplay, and no one should as it just makes more whining.
