Now i know this has probably been asked, but i need a quick answer and i won't go digging through 2-month-old posts for it

anyway

i am in the market for a new video card for the new computer im building which for the near future, its only purpose will be BF2. Do any of you use the X800XL DVD Edition 256MB? if so how do you like it, what dont you like etc etc... and do any of you use the X1800XL? The difference in price for me would be like $70 since i get a 40% discount on the ATI website but unfortunately the x1800 is out of stock for the moment.. should i wait for it? or just buy the x800...?

I use the x800xt 256 with a p4 3.4 and 2 gig of ram. Can run most everything on high with AAx2 on with no problems. Every so often in iron gator i get some lag, but i hear a lot of people do. I am assuming you are going to have at least 2 gig in there. Other than that you will notice some difference with the x1800xl at high high end, but the difference between the two i dont think would be THAT much. But then again, my advice would to get the higher end card if you are patient, and if not get the x800xl, or consider the x850xt.

damn right i use the x8ooXL . awesome card can run high with AA 2x.  but i cant tell the difference with AA on?
Lately i switched out my x800XL for a Powercolor x850XT (250 on newegg.com)  but if u want get an Nivida 7800GT for 250-300 non Nvidia Branded i mean.
