Not yet I dont think, but I advise you to stick to your card for now.
Because you could make the wrong choice and throw a lot of money down the drain.

Directx10 is the way to go, I think you can pre-order x10 cards. But I wouldnt, not until everyone is sure about the update.

The problem here is that the DX10 coding has not been released so no game...or future games in the pipeline will make use of DX10...the majority of games for the next year (approx) will be written for DX9 ....so stick with it or buy a better DX9 card and save your money for 12 months and buy a better card then..

Word has been floating around that NVidia's DX10 lineup will come out in November. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

You must also realize that in order to fully utilize that DX10 card you must upgrade to Vista.

Just buy a good card now and if you really want that DX10 card buy one when it comes out and sell your current.

Of course after compatibility is verified, price is verified, and benchmarked.

Nothing would suck more than waiting a couple months for that DX10 card to find out its $650, doesnt work worth a damn intel chipset boards, and doesnt give the performance it was hyped to be.

Oh snap, the 7950GX2 just flashed in my memory.

Nvidia's G80 will be released on Nov. 8th or around there but I wouldn't expect to be able to buy one for 1 or 2 weeks after that.

8800GTX is $650 or there abouts.
8800GTS is about $450.

Actually Vista will improve DX9 performance even if you dont have a DX10 card.  Simply upgrading to Vista from XP should net you a 10 - 20% performance increase on your DX9 card.  Vista gives the driver system level access and also handles memory differently resulting in a much lower overhead.

You don't even need a DX10 card to benefit from Vista...
