BF2S Forums Still crashing, help !!!!

Ok, (T)eflon(S)hadow i didnt understand what u mean in the post.......

so now i ran memtest86 for 2 completely pass and everything is ok; my game is still bugging even if i close
my antivirus and firewall.......  and i ran spyboth and spyware blaster just to see if i was infect by something but everything is ok.

I even try to modify my ram latency in bios that was at 2.5 and modify it at 3.0  but its still the same.....  ????

I am having the same problem as you. I have a Asus A7N8x board, Athlon 2600 XP+ with a Radeon 9600xt 256MB, 1GB Corsair mem (2X512). Until the 1.4 patch I had great luck with my meager rig. Now, I can't even stay connected for more than 5 seconds!  I have been trying to determine my problem. I thought it was spyware, but that might not have been all. My spyware related problems occurred with an update that included some Java thing.  I'm sure that's not good but I have that under control.  I've tried uninstall/reinstall and  removing my profile. I can't figure this one out. It looks like it is my computer and something is blocking or clogging the transfer for the game. I have not updated the drivers for the board or the video card yet. I have been trying to avoid that. As an added bonus, I have been unable to uninstall other games or play them. Something is definitely wrong. I have also tried to diagnose the lag by using lagmeter. The game lag comes from the 'client' which I think is my computer.  Here's the website:

I have been toying with the idea of installing Windows on another harddrive to see if the problem is on my harddrive. I guess if that fails, it must be hardware related.

Hey ROOMBA, nice to see you again on this topic ! I think we have same proble and QC.Q2 solved it with his modem.
I don't know if I have same probs , but I will try with the internet company.
At the moment, I have no clue about the problem. I have tried EVEYTHING i have found on this great forum but NADA !!
Still unplyaing for 1 month and I'm going crazy !!!!
I'm still working on it and I will let you know about my research.

did a complete reformat and reinstall still patch 1.3 and it work !
as soons as I update to apcth 1.4  :CRABOOM - " you lost your connection ".
I'm pissed of with that.
Next step : I 'm building a hard firewall with an old PC instead of zone alarm !
I hate DICE and EA!

My connection problems were related to my cable modem. I had it replaced and viola! I played for an hour or so last night. Minor hiccups when the map loaded but that was there before.  It was a 44 player (?) map and it was loaded with people. It was good to be back.

So if you have tried everything else, call your ISP. I will let you know if I have any problems.
