ok this problem is not on my computer it's with my sis's computer.i was playing bf2 and suddenly i heard that her computer was doing the sound like when it restarts and i was like wtf and i when to her and she told me that she was on the internet and suddenly it just restarted and when it was about to load windows it appeared a error that says this:
windows/system/system32 is missing or is corrupt and below that it says insert windows cd-rw and press "r"to fix this problem.
btw we dont have original windows cd,and when i pressed "r" it restarts and it came the same error again.
My questions are:
if i can fix it without the windows cd how do i do that on BIOS?
how can i get a windows cd key if i cant fix it through BIOs?

seems like her win installation is fucked.

if there is stuff on the hard drive that cannot be replaced (like non-backuped photos) i suggest you download a live-cd version of linux (knoppix is great for this), burn to cd, boot from that (set boot priority to cd before hd in bios) and recover all the data you need to a usb stick.
alternatively stick the hd in your pc and copy all of the necessary data onto your pc and run a scan disk over it (thanks King_County_Downy for the idea)

then put in your win cd, boot from that press enter on the first sceen instead of recover and then recover from the second screen (which is not advised, cause it often completely fucks up and you'll need to reinstall anyhow) or delete the win partition, make a new one and install to that.

the cd code of win is on the case the cd was shipped in (if you bought it yourself) or somewhere on the pc (if dell or hp or someone put win on the pc).

when you have to reactivate windows after recovery/reinstallation, the internet activation might fail. you'll need to call them and say that you had to reformat and that this cd was only used for that pc (!!!). reinstall everything/everything that doesnt work because of the recovery.

EDIT: BEFORE you try all of that, try to get into safe mode by pressing F8 at startup and selecting safe boot with network drivers. if you are able to do that, report back and we'll see if we can fix the problem without reinstalling. (dont think that you will be able though, if system 32 is dead, so is windows).

also how old is the hard drive? it might be dieing. also scan your pc for any error

(i realize i always said "your", i mean your "sister's", too lazy to go back and correct)

I would take her hard drive out, hook it up to another working machine like your own, and run some virus scans, some malware scans, and a check disk /f on it.
Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it

you dont have to buy a new key, all you need to do is call ms and tell them that you had to reinstall everything (i know, i have the same copy of win on 7 pcs all with numerous reformats)

if the pc has one (only on pre-build pcs with win already loaded onto it), that will work

Your harddrive is going bad.

Ghost/Image/Duplicate it to another one, and it will probably either fail the duplication or at least report errors/bad blocks/bad sectors.

Most of the time it will boot right back up on the new drive. Sometimes will need a chk dsk, othertimes may need a whole repair option on the install.

If you care about any info, dont just do the repair and keep running that drive.  It WILL drop again.
