As in the title, do you use it, does anyone listen?
I used to in my quake 3 days and then in counterstrike but so many idiots just shout or start arguments i gave up, i dont even have it switched on in BF2. Plus my wife thinks im a right tit talking to the computer!!
With a good squad talkin to eachother you could be unstoppable, I just wanna know if anyone uses it on public servers, if they do I might be tempted to once more talk to the unclean!

i use it as much as possible.  some rl friends have a ventrilo server we connect to sometimes, usually i form squads called like 'Mics' to try and get voice ppl to join.  having a well organized squad is a lot of fun so yeah i use it every chance i get.

When playing with my clan buds, it's a definate advantage.  We developed our tactics on COOP maps, and then switched to ranked servers.  Trying to play with out voice come with guys you don't know gets you killed quickly and more often.

I could never get the voip to work on my puter when I set up BF2, but I would use it if I could get it to work.  Played the other day w/ a squad leader who was using it.  I responded by type or mostly by pg up and pg dwn.  It was great.  He would voice commmands along w/ tactics and we kicked ass.

whenever I play with people I know, yeah. We use TS because they fail to realize the uberness that is Vent. I use vent with my Clan Cell on Face of Mankind.

on public I use it whenever someone else is willing to. Mostly, I will join a squad, say hello via VoIP and if no one answers, I 'll keep my mouth shut. Using VoIP is a huge advantage though, it should be used as often as possible.

whenever I play with my regular squad ( kind of a funteam ), we use ventrilo.

I love using it because it adds another level of squad tactis and realism.

It is especially useful with blackhawks (pilot and gunners talking). You can direct the pilot so you are able to maxamise your kills.
