noton antivirus 2007 or norton internet security?
Well Nortan AV doesnt have a firewall... So IS would be better.
As a personal prefernce, ZoneAlarm Security Suite is as good and cheaper.

I use IE. Its security features are second to none.
Daft question - Norton Internet Security = Norton Antivirus + other software.
Personally, I wouldn't touch Norton with a barge pole. It reduces the performance of a computer and there's free software available that does the job as effectively without reducing performance.
AVG FTW

AVG its free!
I constantly am replacing AVG on customers computers with McAfee. Once again, someone on the internet started saying "its better" so people rushed to download it without knowing a damn. Similar to Firefox. AVG and Firefox aren't more secured, they are just hyped to be more secure.
Look at the number of releases of new builds firefox has had and their security flaws that are *known*... with what little market share they have, and what little security research goes into it... how often they have to patch it and rebuild a new versions scares the ************ out of me.
Avoid norton, doesnt do too well if you overwhelm it.
No experience here on nod32. I use and recommend mcafee and never have a return virus problem at my stores.

Only way to never have viruses : don't get internet.
Actually, firefox isn't too much safer compared to IE. Usin it doesn't make your computer immune to viruses.slicknic wrote:

Norton is rubbish. It's bloatware and is ineffective against a lot of threats.
Use Nod32 for anti-virus, it's one of the best you can get.
Also install internet explorer 7, it is more secure than ie6. Alternatively firefox is very secure.
Windows defender is good for anti-spware (realtime), and lavasoft adaware is good for occasional ad-hoc spyware scans.
Make sure Windows firewall is on, and use a router for your internet connection if you can - it will have a built in firewall.
Steer clear of "all-in-one" protection packages as it is unlikely that they are the best at everything.

I use AVG, and it workes fine.
Kaspersky has been the most effective anti virus I have ever used.
But it's also the highest drain on resources I've ever had.
Best used one time to clear your system, then disabled.
