Titan Lag?

anybody else expierencing lag when your in the titan?
at first i thought it had something to do with my FPS, as what happens in Iron Gator and palace on Warlord sometimes, when there are about 40 players in a small area.
But when i tested it with fraps i dont see any change in FPS when i enter the titan, but the Lag is still there.
And it has nothing to do with my connection either, my pings are always below 40, most of the times even a constant 15 to 20.
So i hope this is a known problem and EA/DICE will fix this, because i changed my mind completly yesterday after playing for 6 hours or so, This game is great.

yes, it lags like hell for me when I'm inside the titan >.<
have you tried beeing inside a moving titan? that's even worse....

that so badly pisses me off, best thing to do when your titan is being attacked is to move it

The inside of the titans is modelled badly. Bodies are floating and if you're near a wall you start shaking like hell.

The physics of the game need to be redone.

I hope it is fixed, I can't imagine it being playable with a battle on the titan with nades going off everywhere! would be rubbish

i hate it how everybody is shaking and wobbling when they are near the wall....

and dead bodies that slides...

is it because the titan is moving?

I think the bodies slide coz the titan itself isn't level, all the bodies seem to slide the same way and it happens regardless of whether its moving or not.

The wobbling on the wall thing i think is because its moving it doesn't happen to me (that I've noticed) when the titan is still. It's like in BF2 when u sit on the roof of a tank, ur fine til it moves then ur jittering all over the place.

I get no lag. Don't know what you guys are talking about. I've played tons of rounds and no lag at all. Maybe you need to upgrade your rig or your net speed.

The only problem I get in the titan is when bodies start travelling then eventually out of the walls and fall.

No lag for me thoe.

I have no idea why so many people have so many problem. Maybe you all are pushing you machines to hard. I have
2.3 oc xp cpu
1.5 gig of cheap ram corsair value select
6800 agp 128mb oc to 370mhz

and I run BF2 and 2142 on high 1024x768 with no lag, no crashes, and decent FPS. Oh and by the way I am working on an XP pro load that is about 2-3 years old. I don't even defrag that often.

It's not really lag that's happening on the titans. When you're near walls, atleast when you're proned, your who character shakes like hell. Bodies are sliding all over the place and dropping through the floor. Everything is messed up inside the titans. I'm gonna be supriced if nades won't drop through the titan too...

EA has acknowledge the lag themselves and have said they do not recommend Titan mode servers to exceed 48 players.
