QFE on the "what if black" mention there.  I am white myself, but you know what?  We whites aren't allowed to call blacks the N-word, but the Blacks can drop the N-word around each other like it's cool and it's a "brother" thing.  Bullsh!t.  If that's allowed, posts like miles' is allowed.  I don't want to hear any political hypocritical bullcrap on these forums.  We're here to play a game based on war, not to battle it out at the diplomacy tables, that's what the old farts in Congress get paid to do, not us.

your logic is completely false. you don't really understand the concept of political hypocrisy, i'm afraid - otherwise you'd realise that this 'level playing field' approach to racial problems is a prime example of it.

the whole reason why whites saying 'coon' etc is racist while blacks saying it isn't is because the word was always deployed to indicate a complelely asymetrical power relationship, by whites over blacks. when white people say it, it retains all of its historical roots as slur and denigration. when black people say it, it robs it of its derogatory power as a word made by whites to denigrate blacks, qua blacks saying it to blacks - that is, it is still a derogatory word but one that is now in control of the group that it was used to keep down.

hyprocrisy is thinking that you are allowed the privilege of making derogatory remarks from a position of whitneness against people because those people have redefined the relationship that they have to whiteness through a redeployment of these terms. in fact, the usage of these words in the black community is a great trap for small-minded, un-self reflexive bigots like you who seem to be blissfully unware of your country's entire (racial) history, and that the current state of racial politics is very very recent, and still not particularly stable.

I'll get close enough to the subject to say this: I have experience with the whole black-on-black n*gger slinging, and have seen a 'black wannabe' white kid get punched in the face for trying to join in. Furthermore, I haven't seen nearly as much public overreaction when black guys throw derogatory racial slurs at white guys. Regardless of your thoughts on the subject, it is hypocrisy, and there are plenty of black people out there who agree. Preference for 'minorities' is not civil rights, but inverted rights, which is just as bad as discrimination against minorities. As for the swastika, it is not solely a Nazi symbol. Anyone who thinks it is is uneducated. Why stop at swastikas? Birds-of-prey, wreathes, lions, crosses, crescents, circles, five-pointed stars, six-pointed stars, sickles and hammers could be banned images, too.

Anything further will have to be taken to D&ST.
