DivX. or search for encoders.
If your using Windows Movie Maker..
Just go "Save Movie File"
"The Web"
Type in the name you want for the file.
Go to show more choice, and then "best fite to file size" Choose 100 mb.
Then wait for it to compress.. Choose any of the Bullshit Video Hosting Sites, type in random name and password..
Then once it says failed, click "save movie file to this computer"
And there you should have it..

Go to Doom9.net and read.
Xvid is probably your best bet. Not DivX.

if u are using windows ... and have movie maker installed .. thats probally all you need ... the codec that come with windows will suffice. Just create a new movie into movie maker.

The movie was made with Final Cut Pro, and then made into an iDVD file. DivX did not work.
I'm sure the Mac can do it and easily.Superior Mind wrote:

is the only version of the movie you have on dvd? if so, is it in dvd format? or just a video file saved on a data dvd? if its dvd format (it plays if popped into a dvd palyer) you will need the rip the video files off the dvd put them back into an editing program, convert the files back to something like avi. and then compress it (i think). of course if its just a data disc, then do what everyone else said. i have a good video compressor, let me find the name of it....Superior Mind wrote:

I recommend RAD Video Tools. It's popular with game developers, and can be found on alot of old software where space conservation was a big deal. And the best thing about it: they're free! It can play multiple formats, and convert as well.
