Alright...as of past i was playing BF2 in a "cafe" called Jive Turkey Tech Center on alienware computers that were decked out and the like. Im not a big computer guy and i dont build my own computers aaaand i dont feel like going in there to ask questions. I just recently bought a computer for more business purposes than gaming but noticed it happened to come with a graphics card. The graphics card meets/exceeds the requirements for bf2 but the processor, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ Im unsure about. Requirements say Sempron/XP or greater, where does the Athlon 64 X2 stack up? im assuming its not greater but i have no idea...obviously, feedback?
That processor is fine - hell, it's more than fine - it shits all over an Athlon XP. Assuming you have at least 512Mb RAM as well (ideally at least 2Gb), you'll have no problem at all running BF2.
excellent, i have 1g RAM, yea, i know 2G would be nice, but i dunno, cant help that, i wasnt looking into a gaming computer in the first place....but excellent, bf2 at home should be a nice change of pace...thanks!
1Gb will be OK - if you put the graphics settings up too high it'll lag a little at times, but go for mostly 'medium' settings and it'll be fine. And you can almost certainly easily upgrade to 2Gb in the future.
