How long have you had the card ... ?

You may do the usual ... update drivers, etc ....

How about your case temp how hot does it get ...?

Does this occur from minute one r after sustained play?

Maybe download some driver cleaner and then update your drivers again

EDIT: Here's one http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/S … aner.shtml

Just go to ATI's site, look for intructions on how to remove the drivers completely (tupla_s's suggestion may work also) .. then install the regular drivers ... if you were to get gains from the enhanced driver set, they'd be trivial.

Modded driver dont =BAD, Sometimes Updated Drivers by ATI=BAD. It happens almost every time. I mean in every release they are dropping support for cards. Soon, the 9xxx series cards will no longer be supported by the ATI drivers. Even the Modders are being forced to comply with this rule.

Best driver out is Omega driver. He uses the Old style control panel still. The ATI CCC Panel is complete bloatware and takes up almost 70mb of space and takes almost the same amount of memory to run, plus the fact you need .Net to run it. AND its running 24/7 full bore all the time. So for just that simple fact, Id have to say that Modded drivers ar not bad, It all depends where you get them and who makes them. Omega was the first and Any others are posers that ripped off his work.

Google a program called Drivercleaner3, Use it to clean up your Driver Uninstall. Read the Instructions. It will guide you. It also tells you to Dissable your internet BEFORE you install your new drivers, and before you reboot after uninstalling your old ones. Believe me theres a reason, But im not writing it again. If you need to know you can find it in the readme in drivercleaner3.

READ my post here with Links: http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=48696

Hope this helps

It runs in the background  Ctrl Alt Del and look at Services. Youll see. CCC Uses .Net to work. Im a beta tester for ATI. Im Now testing the ATI RC1 Vista Beta Driver. Its CRAP with a capital C because it has NO Open GL support! If they dont give me a new driver to test soon Im gonna shoot myself LOL. None of my OpenGL games have any life, they fire up, but look dead, Grrrrrrr.

The Vista Beta driver is 75mb, But it is advised to use the one that is for both 32bit and 64bit vista, thus after install, you now have a driver thats a whopping 200ishmb installed!!!! I Hate the CCC. After im done testing Vista, Im so running back to XP and my modded drivers with the old control panel LOL. Ive had it with being the test dummy for 4 years now LOL. Only perk is, I at times recieve discounts on cards to test also.
