I got the demo a few days ago and I find myself getting bored kinda easily about the whole game. I found it odd since I would play the Beta much more than I would play BF2, and beta/demo are pretty much the same thing, except the demo has a lot of fixes that irked me from Beta. So then it hit me... without the unlocks, the gameplay value is just not the same. There's something about getting those unlocks, and getting dogtags, and having stats that makes the game worth playing over and over and over. Scores are also relativelly low in games, so that's also another let down, but this is only cause people are still learning the squad methods and because medals and pins haven't been implemented either. Without those, the game is a little bit monotonic and repetitive.

So to all those that gave up on the demo quickly, don't think it's that the game is slow or that it sucks. A lot of it has to do with EA not implementing the stats and unlocks just yet. I am sure that once these are in place, you'll see how much fun the game can be with the many new choices and additions they have added to the game.

Would of been nice if they allowd you to get the first 2 or 3 ranks in the demo so you get a little taste of the unlocks, which is what the game is primarily about. Won't happen though.

Yeah the demo kind of sucks once your dead your dead no half arsed medic to run to your aid and revive you, i wonder how many time i will be revived when the full game comes out right under the nose of a Mech, the mind boggles

I think that only one map, in the beta, and only one in the demo are one of the things that makes them repetitive.
I am really looking forward to the full game.

But you are correct, I dont put much time into the demo. There is very little left for me to learn.
I have a feel for the infntry combat, and for all the ground based vehicles. My flying is average at best [like BF2!] but I'm not going to spend hours in the demo practicing, I'll use single player, or empty servers in the full game for that.

If the demo was progressive, like the beta, I would be playing a huge amount to try out the different unlocks.
