I want to run a BF2142 server for our clan, but am not sure how to setup a ranked server versus an unranked. Can anyone help me with some infromtaion on how to do this?
You need to use a EA trusted provider.

Simple. Rent your server from one of the providers that provides ranked servers ... I am not aware of a way that a miscellaneous server can register with EA to become ranked.
