I'm currently a Master Sergeant and I have all the little merit badges needed, but i'm not advancing. any ideas why?

You are not yet eligible for the advanced rank of because you are missing the awards: Basic Air Defense Badge, Basic Ground Defense Badge.

You must have miss one of the basic badges before you reach 20K, even if you get them after 20K you will still keep your Master Sergeant rank.
Like now, if you don't get your basic ground defence or your basic Air defence before 50K, you won't get Master Sgt, but a lower rank until the next rank.

Ive been wandering but when I reach first seargent - I will be skipping another rank because I have the needed badges will I get 2 unlocks?
You did not have the knife and pistol badge when you hit 20000. So there for you don't get FIRST. Sorry your stuck at Master for know......

You (a Master Sergeant) apply for Commander at the start of a round.
|SAF|Luckybaer (a First Sergeant) applies for Commander at the start of the same round.
|SAF|Luckybaer will get the nod over you because First Sergeant is "higher" than Master Sergeant.
Now, if a Sergeant Major applies for Commander at the start of the round in question, both you and |SAF|Luckybaer are outranked, and hence, the Sergeant Major will get to be Commander.

When you cross the 20,000 point threshold, you will be awarded one of two ranks ... First Sergeant is awarded only if you have received all required awards/badges. Otherwise you will become a Master Sergeant.DueceBigalo wrote:

You cannot, therefore, advance to First Sergeant. Your next promotion is at 50,000 points.
