I pre-ordered from EBGames.com.

Today I got a letter from UPS saying I wasn't in when they delivered. Then with it I got a COD Invoice! They want £20.75 extra! £9.75 import VAT, and £11 brokerage surcharges.

What should I do? I feel like rejecting it, and making a chargeback.

It all depends on what you paid so far.  Did you pay for it all once?  Are they changing you double?  I would call EB and see what is up.

I ring them off Skype, and press 2. Then it says that extension is not recognized.

Err, you are paying import taxes and shipping. That's how buying stuff from abroad works unforutnately.

If you reject it you will very probably be charged the same amount again for it shipping back to the US.

Just suck it up and don't do it again.

No I paid $15.99 shipping to the UK already when I ordered.

Yeah, and then someone on customs opened the package or knows where it came from and it falls into a decided it falls into a different category of import goods (say electrical goods or something) and you've got a higher surcharge.

You can try taking it up with EBGames through the website you ordered from but I can guarantee that if you refuse delivery of the item on unacceptable grounds you will be stung with the returns charges.
