If you are getting this here is what you need to do.
After installing with EA downloder and patching. Do not delete your 2142 game.
Download EA downloader again and reinstall over previous version (Of EA Downloader not the game).
Reboot and start the game from EA downloader by clicking play now.
It is important that you do not patch again after you reinstall EA downloader.
Now show me love .
