Punkbuster is kicking me constantly

I just got battlefield 2142 almost an hour ago. I've gotten 180 points and I am almost to my next promotion everything stops moving and I'm kicked from the server by PunkBuster. I've never had any problems before with punkbuster, but now I blow up my computer I'm so pissed. I've been kicked 7 times already for doing absolutely nothing. Please I really need help because I'm about ready to loose my head here.

Ok, here is the kick message.

"You have been kicked from the server by Punkbuster"

That is all it says. I've noticed that loads of people are getting kicked. Before I get kicked I see others getting kicked from the server for no reason what so ever. I have been kicked 10 times now, this first day for BF 2142 has offically sucked for me.

They respond very fast, even with the harder problems.

But isnt random kicking a problem in BF2 too??
Did you check your logfiles, maybe you can tell why its kicking you.

Thats the problem, I get in the server and within 30 seconds I am gone. Do they reply by e-mail or by some other way?

I'm having the same problem. I can't play in a server for more than 30 seconds without getting kicked by PB.

PBSetup does no good because 2142 isn't even listed as a supported game. I submitted a ticket to EvenBalance and am now waiting on a reply.

Probably the second one but this problem is probably just temporary. But yeah, did you remove the demo/beta from your computer? That might help....

Yep. Never even downloaded the demo, and I uninstalled the beta after they opened it up to the public. So far I've gotten no response from EB. Also, it seems as though a bunch of people are getting kicked by PB...every server I join, it seems the text at the top is spammed with "...has been disconnected from the server." messages.

Then it is probably a problem with PB, maybe they are updating 2142 into their data somehow. I don't think it has anything to do with your computer/your cd so just be patient and wait for EB to fix it

I'm in the same boat.

For those of you who are behind a router, access it and open up port 17567. That's the port PB uses, and that's what one of my clannies did. I'm in a bit of shit because I don't know my router password.

If you're not behind a router, try opening the port on your computer itself. See if that helps.
