Well personally I don't think a top-end mouse is worth it for you then; unless you want/need some extra buttons any standard optical should give good service if the one I had is anything to go by.

I have no idea how any of you play using a standard mouse. Do you have to pick it up now and then to make large movements? Crazyness. I've never gamed with a standard shaped mouse. I've only been able to play games using a trackman type mouse. it makes for more precise fire (since pressing a button on a standard shaped mouse can cause movement), smoother movement, and easier concentration (not having to move your hand). You also free up your mouse hand thumb to hit the far right "-" "+" and "enter" keys where you can map things like parachute or other things.

Its means just what it says. It takes accerlation out of the mouse. Makes tiny movements easier with the mouse. Definately helps in CSS, since headshoting is everything in CS. BF2 doesnt have as many uses for it, since normally you dont go for the head unless your sniping. But if you like single shot with the rifles (like me) then you might wanna give the CPL mouse fix a shot. If you dont like it, simply delete the registry key it created.
Some may not notice a big difference, but I personally do. If your a high sensitivity player you may not notice a big difference as well.

Sensitivity setting through the BF2 Options: 0.6, and it works like a charm.
Razer Copperhead. i change the dpi settings all the time, for longrange i go for the lowest dpi. it is very helpfull i think...
I use the G5 mouse, i put it on 400dpi and change windows settings to get it even lower, speed is not the key for long range sniping.
I use the Diamondback and it works great!
When i change mine on the go i dont know what dpi it is because its like this:
I have it at about 3.0 when sniping. 10.0 when in vehicles and about 7.5 any other time.

Wait a second....i was talking about the game's sensitivity for infantry, not individual mouse sensitivity lol.

just get any mouse that isnt too heavy so u can swiftly move it, or isnt too light(i thought my own mouse broke which was just right so i replaced it with my sis's cheapass mouse) it was too light to aim properly,it feels like its some 99cent crap from chinatown(im chinese myself)
800 for most infantry may switch it up to 1600 sometimes
