I though of buying BF2142 because I really enjoyed BF1942 and BF2, but all that included spyware has reached a level, where I can't say 'yes' anymore.

1) Read IP of player and give it to a commercial company
2) Place commercials in the game
3) Collect user data (e.g. how long you 'stare' at a commercial, will be fun playing as commander, lol)

The other points (MOD, graphics, spray and pray, weekendplayer, titanlag) has been discussed enough in other threads.

You know in every game thats done this, people have found away around it, just block the IP in your hosts

How about we see a screen shot of these ads, I wanna see how they incorperated it into the game

1) I don't want to become active blocking IPs or else, I just want to play. If you buy a car would you like to have a policeman on the back seat checking your driving ? Or have a HUD with commercials ?
I don't want that 'bonus' having free commercials and being on a list of potential buyers.

2) It was meant ironic, I hope it won't be that bad.

Just my opinion, if you don't have problems with EA 'way of selling', its ok for me.

Yeah, I know how you feel

But what really violates me is that we still have to pay full price, if not more than BF2, for a game that quite honestly, is defintally not worth that much

And with these ads, I was expecting a large discount seeing as EA makes even more money marketing
