I'm trying to have all basic badge in BF2 and I have some problem with the air defense badge.

I have stay 5 minutes in a Anti-Air Tank (an american Linebacker) then 5 minutes in the Air-Defense of an american ship (carry plan) and then 5 minutes in an Air-Defense (also ine of this f...ing missile launcher with only two missiles in stock and who takes 30 seconds to reload...).

AND NO AIR DEFENSE BADGE!

I had use the search but the only thing I find is someone who said that the new patch (1.12) had probably change the requirements.

Also if someone have an idea...

Those are the current requirements. Maybe you should have stayed in the stinger for a little longer?


What map did you do the stinger on? I try to stay in but I'm always killed by jets.

Well, the only thing I have seen mention before is that ever since the 1.12 upgrade/BF SF servers are behaving strange and some requirements take a hell of a lot longer to obtain, or much faster, or... And no clear answer on why and how and until when yet...

So my suggestion to you; Play commander and try to obtain your commander badge while sitting in a stinger the whole round... So you can get two badges in the same go...

My recommendation is use the AA vehicle, go for the AA ribbon, just stay in the AA vehicle as there is still plenty of things you can kill with that vehicle.  Go for overkill on the time requirement, a whole round, and if you still can't get the air defense badge sitting in one round I have no further advice other than make certain you haven't accidentally selected an unranked server.  And don't worry, I'm still trying to get that helicopter ribbon, I got 24 kills IAR via the BH and I could have sworn the round lasted longer than 15 minutes, so you are not alone in this type of plight.  I have had cases where I met the requirement a few minutes back and only much later does the server recognize this and give me the award.
