I tried yesterday, and I've been trying all day as well but I can not download 2142.
After firing up EA dl I click the "Download now" button. First off, it takes an eternity for the dl to begin, second, it is SLOW AS HELL (maybe 10MB in 30 minutes), third, it suddenly stops saying:
This is starting to get on my fucking nerves. After I played the demo I wasn't THAT keen on the game but I have bought it. What the hell does EA want me to do? Buy the damn game on DVD as well?
Anyway, any help/experiences greatly appreciated.

I have logged in/out - no luck. I have tried different times a day - no luck. I have restarted my comp - no luck. I have uninstalled and installed EA dl - no luck.Error: 7049:0 Generic Transaction Error. Please chek your internet connection. If the problem persists, wait and try again later because the servers may be temporarily unavailable
