Punkbuster is kicking me constantly

I fixed it. As I said earlier, open up those ports on your firewall/router/computer both under UDP and TCP.

Go here and download the Security file for Player, as well as the First two Client files. Save them to the correct folder in your 2142 directory. The security file goes in the PB directory, and the client files both go in the pb/hml folder. After that, you should be good to go. It worked for me.

As for the saving part:

go to C:(or whatever drive you run BF2142 from)/Progam Files/Electronic Arts/Battlefield2142/pb

There is where you will save the first file to.

Now, same path, except go to battlefield2142/pb/hml and save the second two files there.

All you do is right click the link and click "save link as" then browse to where I told you, and you should be fine. If you can do this, you'll be fixed.

And from a post I saw from Ty, there is a major problem linked to windows security updates, in short, if your entirely uptodate your fucked.

Gj EA, I thought the demo launch was as botched as you could get, but they proved me wrong.

This thing is like the plague, I used to get the punkbuster message on titan mode only, but as soon as I did what above posters said, I start getting kicked left and right on conquest as well.

I uninstall then reinstalled the game, no punkbuster problems, I also went to their site and ran the pbsetup.exe
don't know which solved it

It kept happening to me too. I kept changing servers till i found one where I didn't get kicked. By that time i only had time for 2 games. I guess just keep switching till you find one that work. At least until they fix the problem

Ok I had the same problem, I found out that you have to manualy update Punkbuster from their site.

Use the program that this gives you and it should tell you how to do it.
