7 yrs, British Army. Everyone should join, or be a homo, and lose at civil war.
lol yeah not being in the army is one of the greatest contributors to homosexuality.
As for that vid yeah its always nice to look at the planes fly around, but when it comes down to it they just kill people...no fun in that when you can't respawn in the real world....

Nope. I once wanted to, but changed my mind at the last minute.
I'm still, how you say, underage, but I'm contemplating going into the military.
I am almost 30 now, so I won't. Otherwise I would have followed the sniper path.
I like the video.... but wouldn't the Movie "Jarhead" be a more realistic look at the military?
sitting around forever waiting to fight and then it's all over... Don't get me wrong, i know they
see action... but it's not all cool jets and gun ships.

Damn TV Missle Lag at 0:42. I knew lag was real...It wasn't DICE's fault this time!!
No, sorry, in fact it makes me recoil...fuck the military.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
Darn shame america doesnt use those fancy airplanes anymore. I think if there were more arial firepower in Iraq and that they were allowed to us it the situation might be a lot different. I would love to pilot an A10, man that plane is a beast.
Dam it,i saw it too!MorbiD.ShoT wrote:

One of the most harsh, yet true things you will ever read in these forums...+1 for having common sense and compassion.Fen321 wrote:

Actually, it makes me want to listen to more Marilyn Manson...
First: It wouldn't want to make me join the Army, it would want to make me join the Air Force. Second, a lot of stuff they showed was from US and Russian armies too. Just thought I'd point that out.
Second: I was trying to get into the USAFA until I severely injured myself in HS Track and now I can't join due to that injury, they say the chance of re-injury is too great.
rant time:
I believe when it comes to war, you have to take a perspective on both sides. The American media either is all for or all against the war, which is completely bias and gives no picture of what really goes on. I've veiwed the war in Iraq as pretty much any other war. That's what it looks like to me, the enemy is there. This time instead of hiding in forests or bombed out cities they're hiding amoung the civilian populus. Thus, you can't just go in all gun-ho instead you have to take a more methodical approach. I believe in Iraq the currently plan would be effective if we added one more thing. Border security, the border security is shit in Iraq. I know they can't stop the tide of insurgences, however if they at least attempt to do so and scare them, more and more would think twice before stepping across the border.
Another thing, you can't say War is Hell. That is too general of a statement and something as complex as war cannot be generalized like that. Sure at times war is hell, however at other times you feel the most alive you've ever been. To me if forced to generalize, war is life at extremes. We intend to do something right, yet we hurt them. People must understand all sides of the conflict. Its annoying when people are blind to the world, makes me want to slap them and open their eyes. Although, that would really accomplish nothing because they'll just shut them again, so they must learn to open their minds and starting using them.
War isn't blowing shit up. That's not why you fight. You don't fight for your country, you don't fight for the big picture. Sure, you might say you do. But when it comes down to it, when the bullets start flying, you fight for the guy laying down next to you. In war the soldier fights for their buddies.
