For those rugby fans, which do you prefer? league or union?

Im for union. Its more team based, and you can actually score a try off a tackle next to the line, you dont have to stop and play the ball. The scrums are actually scrums, and when guys take a run with the ball, they use a little more strategy than going BOOM into 4 guys. Im watching the aus-kiwi tri nations game now, and theres just not enough trys! but of course theres no union in melb.........just my freakin luck. What about you guys?

I don't get a sport where you get 6 goes then have to give the ball to the other team.
Union is far more flowing and enjoyable to watch.

Union is the far better game to watch

League is about the same fun to actually play and we in England must be thankful for some of the players changing code's because without them we wouldnt have won the last World Cup over the Aussies .

It's a hard question this as I prefer each for their own reasons.

League for the way they dont kick the ball so much and if any sly digs get given and the ref misses it a video panel will alway judicate later in the week and pick up the guily culprit and video refs. I suppose union does that now but it was union that brought it in.

I like union for WALES and thats it. Its the only thing I truly hate about England. The lardy daa "twickers" hq bullshit. Jermery Gussett, John Inverdale and any other pompus arrogant bastard who wants to join them. They might as well start singing "footballs coming home" cos that gets right up my nose aswell.

I'm getting to like egg chasing a bit but rarely sit through a whole match even when we are playing. Its worth watching yesterdays game just for Catherine Jenkins, Im not ashamed to say I get choked whenever our anthem is sang in the Millenium Stadium, the old Arms Park was just as good. The Scottish anthem (flower of scotland) gets my hairs standing up to.

Wales were bang out of order yesterday for not allowing the Haka by NZ, it was the WRU who told NZ they couldnt. Fair play to NZ they did it in private in the dressing room then came out and took their anger out on the team. Nice one you bunch of Tom Jones lookalike suit wearers, that worked right in our favour didnt it.

Rugby is good as 20st men can drink beer all day, sit next to a rival fan and not fight with him. Football is learning the family side of it. However Cardiff on a Sat night is full of Valleys Commandoes who are on a mission just to fight and thats another reason I dont like egg chasing.

What boggles me is this:

A game of football was going on and some lad in school picks the fkn ball up and runs, he goes over the byline slams on the floor and the school headteacher says "try"!! Picture the faces of all the other kids playing, you'd be like, "sir, are you on drugs"? The headmaster then says "i'll call this rugby". Its fucking football ya daft twat. That is how egg chasing was invented.

enjoy both codes or football, (dont count aerial pingpong dressed in little shorts footy). Can watch a weekend game of league whereas Union bores me a bit.
