Ditto.  Other stuff like TS, Xfire, etc may run better with dual core, though the game itself doesn't take advantage of it.  Not an expert on this.  I would not steer clear of dual core just because of that reason, as someone else said.

DC is not used by a lot of applications yet.  Also, since BF2 and 2142 are the same engine, they would have to redesign the engine so that it could use the features of DC.  This would also cut the user base that EA has with 2142.

well for some weird reason my game runs a bit odd then when i run it on a single core it runs smooth as butter.

i would never get rid of my dc just to play one game (well two now)


oh well, looks like i'll just have to keep setting affinity.
