?Should I buy 2142? I'm debating.

Okay, I honestly don't know if I want to buy 2142. BF2 is my favorite game of all time and ive put in about 340 hours of playing time on it. If I buy 2142, I'm pretty sure I won't play BF2 anymore. I've played the demo and it okay, but not that fun because there are no ranks/unlocks. I dont know if 2142 will ever beat BF2 and I don't want to waste $50 or however much it costs on it if it's not the shit.

If I buy 2142, my BF2 stats will just come to a halt because I am one of those people that gets a new game, and will play only that game for a while or til I beat it. I'm asking you guys because you all have your own opinions on 2142 vs. BF2.

This poll will help me make decision.

P.S.- please don't flame me about using the SEARCH key b/c that seems to come up in 80% of the posts I read.

I'm buying 2142 and plan on still playing BF2. So much new content in 2142, it's going to be a blast. The mods for BF2, like POE2 (is awesome) and Forgotten Hope 2 (will be awesome) are lots of fun.

to me it takes away from why i play modern combat,although i did buy 2142 i wish ea would of made a bf3 like the one coming out for ps3 and x-box, i would of rather seen the building demolish feature instead of futuristic battle, we allready have them games.

Same here. I'm playing BF2 as well as BF 2142.

In BF2142 I find driving those titans around are immensely fun while unlocking seems to be kinda cool. Also, I'm loving Titan mode. Its a nice change of pace from Conquest feasts all these years from BF series. Maybe its me but somehow I found snipping to be more easy with BF2142 (despite the swaying aim). I play this when I feel like fighting in the future, basically.

i am the same, i mean once you have them you can play as much or as little as you want, i was getting really pissed with bf2, that was my main reason, so its cool to have something tottally diffrent to play, (BF3) would have been a great idiea for the demolish bulidings and shit, but just being able to go into a buliding would have been cool and having close combat in there...... that wahat i liked about MOHA

so yer buy it

there are buildings in bf2 that you can and have to go in, although i think i know what you are talking about, it is a limited basis, but the building demolish is going to be in battlefield: bad company, coming out in the spring of 07 for the ps3 and the x-box

Yes, you should buy it, it's a great game. Also, don't worry about the "spyware" thing, its just so they can check your IP so you get the correct ads, rather than ads from a different country.

Even if they do check your IP I still havn't seen a single add. It's not anywhere close where some people made some screen shots about it.

I can play it hours straight without a problem and if you get bored of one mode switch to the other.

Those small player maps are mostly infantry only though there is one Mech for each team so it's not that hard to kill them.
