yep - it does not matter if friendly victim
chooses to punish or not except for you getting kicked off server.

Negative points either way.

* Ditto about total Noobs punishing for their own error.  This has been said many many many times.

Of course you will find poorly placed mines/claymores blocking your side's pathways so its not
always Victim's fault.

I don't use claymores or mines if FF kills own guys.   Do not play sniper or engineer on those maps.
Prolly hurts team defense against armor but oh well.. .....

All DICE has to do is make mines detonate when friendlies walk infront without damaging them. Then it's a balance: mines can be destroyed by friend or foe, but friends won't be fucktards and punish for it.

you can only be proud of your score if you get all of your points in a fair way.
youve got to earn your kills, not by putting claymores around every corner.

by using claymores your skills wont improve, and it sucks for your enemy

CLAYMORES ARE LAME

and now some smart ass will say :   "claymores are just a part of the game"

yes they are, but they were intend to be a personal defense weapon, to prevent the sniper from being knifed in his ass while staring trough his scope

I think EA should just remove the TK punish system all together. People just abuse it too much.

i believe if you punish it adds another -2 to the loss of points, thats how it worked in BF2 why would they change it in 2142?
fail.

when will you tards realise that punishing for teamkills DOESN'T GIVE NEGATIVE POINTS, it just adds one to the "kick counter"

correct.

No, it's your responsibility to look at your damn screen, FF on for claymores would be good if the average BF IQ was over 6.
also correct. in 2 ways.

1) the teammates must AVOID them.
2) the recon class must place them in such a way that teammates will NOT run into their blast radius.

the second point is more important.

it just doesn't work, people on your team will, consciously or not, actively seek out and kill themselves on your claymores.

besides, its the future, doesn't it make sense that there would be technology that can distinguish whether or not the guy who just ran in front of it is friend or not?  Its practically possible right now, so 100+ years in the future...

I agree, but the problem is when you know there are 3 guys around the corner, you run up and drop a gaymore at the corner to get the first 1-2 guys that come around, but your teammate decides to be rambo and runs right across your defensive gaymore. The only way you could drop them without ever being in the way of some teammate is to airdrop your self into the enemy base, spam your gaymores, and proceed to be shot and hopefully getting two skilless, silly kills.

Edit: Oh yeah, there is sheilding technology on the titan that can prevent enemies from running through it while letting friendlies through, but they gaymores can't even distinguish who is who?

claymores are motion triggered. unless the two teams moved in completely different ways, there is no way to distinguish..

in real life.. even if a rabbit moved in front of a claymore.. BOOM bye bye rabbit.
