Ish, once this novelty of the new game has worn off, no doubt I will play bf2 again and finially get colonel. But for the moment I have not and will not play it for a while.

Not sure. I compare this to a break up, when you say "We will still talk" or "We can still be friends". You can only play so much in a day.

No, I still play BF2, I haven't tried BF2142 for 2 reasons, it's future war zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and WTF is it with little gadgets??, sheilds, cloaks etc etc for me that over complicates things.
Might not be that bad in game, but I just don't feel the urge to move to it, one day I might, someone will probably buy it me at xmas.

No, the mod POE2 is still fun and Forgotten Hope 2 (WW2 based) will be awesome (1942 on BF2 engine with more weapons and vehicles from what I hear). I haven't played vanilla BF2 since buying 2142, but I'm sure it will be kinda like when I played 1942 after playing BF2 for awhile. The new game has so many features and better teamwork.

BF2 is definitely dead to me; I was getting so tired with the jets dominating the boards and the bozos teamkilling for the jets. I find the balancing better overall
