Just wanted to throw a strat out there for how I got the Crew Service ribbon rather quickly.
1. Find a GOOD 32-64 player Iron Gator Game
2. Go MEC
3. Get a good pilot that understands having a gunner
4. Go as a medic and before you get in the chopper throw med packs around the spawn. Do this every time you die and get back in again. People getting spawn raped kept picking them up while I was in flight giving me the special abaility points.
5. Proceed to desomate the carrier.
6. The key to having a good pilot of course is he is the one keeping you in the air and getting your 20 assist kills. You only need 10 as gunner. But he also has to be good enough to allow you to line up shots not just try to dogfight the other chopper the whole round.

why is it so hard to find a quality pilot on SF.....this ribbon is driving me nuts (worse than the time requirment for the helo ribbon)....I can't get either

Dont you have to be the pilot and have your gunner get the heal point for the ability assist?

You can be either pilot or gunner. I tried being the pilot and going as support so I could swoop down to resupply the troops but it just didn't happen. Maybe if you were pilot landed and trew out med/ammo packs then got back in that would be good....if your gunner doesn't steal your ride. I just found it easier with a really great pilot but I would assume the reverse is true if you can get a really good gunner. There is really no secret to this ribbon just an aligning of cosmic forces that let you first get the chance to ride in the chopper then to be blessed with a pilot/gunner thats worth a shit. A very hard combo of events these days. Took me 2 weeks and countless servers for everything to come together.

I don't think my pilot was in a med/supply/repair kit but I may be mistaken. I threw a bunch of packs out got in got the 20 kill assists, my 10 kills, then I got a heal point and bam there it was. Never even noticed it say I got a special ability point.

In your case I would suggest being the pilot in gator. Go as a medic and hope for a good gunner. You should get both ribbons or the chopper one at least. But gator as MEC is definately the place to do it. It's all in finding the right server.

Looks like you had enough time for a veteran Zip line badge. 3000 zip lines deployed? You need a better hobby slick!!

I was under the impression veteran zip line, grappling hook and tactical badges were unobtainable due to a bug...

its such an easy ribbon . go either operation cleen sweep and fly as a gunner with a good pilot in a jet, or go heli gunner as MEC at sharqi peninsula . the mec heli is so impossible on that map... yesterday i got 30:2 stats in a rather short round.. but my record is 68 kills and loads of help points -> 149 points it was so fun to rape them all .

Check out sunshine's stats. There are also a few studs out there with ribbons for service in SF armies. Don't know about commented lines of code but the proof is in the stats. I trust UBAR, it says 3000 zips deployed for veteran and this cat has one. I'd be bored to tears shooting a zip and taking it back 3000 times but heck, to each his own...
