With POE coming out, I started to think about the last time I played it, back with BF Vietnam.

I had a crappy PC back then,so BFV gameplay was a bit..well, crap! But the little extras they had in it were what made it enjoyable. I used to love jumping in a Huey and putting on a tune! Also when running along in some jungle, hearing the music in the distance....aah....hazy day's gone by!

I wonder why they dropped that?

Question has been raised hundereds of times, and I dunno if an answer has really arisen yet. I do miss that though.

Edit: I also remember Helis were 10x as forgiving when it came to hitting stuff. I miss that too haha.

Battlefield 2 takes up too much CPU power as it is....add stuff like that and low end computers would'nt be able to play.

its to keep the illusion alive... and i know this may sound really wierd but wen ur walking in the alley behind the market in karkand and someone is walking right above you ... wen he gets shot id like to be able to hear which way he walks instead of hearing led zepelin from the friendly apc passing bye that wont take the guy out cuz hes too stupid to look at his minimap and see the squad of six running for me(sorry just got kinda raped on my noob bye a few guys)

They should put a system in for music.... maybe give players in game tokens to play music when they want...  for gaining points in bf2.... so many kills.... so many tokens to buy playing time....  I miss those vietnam era songs....
