It's quite simple. You got 2 tabs, one with all the kits and one with the Squads. Simply press on the Squad tab and join ANY free squad but pick the ones that have ONE player in the. Why?

1: you get more points if the Squad leader know what he's doing.
2: If he get spawn beacon you can spawn close to the battlefield and engage in combat faster and it's easier to support your troops if you have constant press on the enemies.
3: If someone type with caps all the time just join a fricking Squad.(I tried to get "noobs" because no matter what I said and for how long they REFUSED to joi ANY squad at all. And this was like 15+ people to. >.> We still won but I would have placed the Spawn beacon in the Enemies mainbase and rape snipers with knife. Sadly no one really gave a damn about getting more points.

Just a thing that I get so anoyed about. When everything is just going so well and you get Collectors pin EA decide to get "Connection Lost to the EA server" Like wth man, you can't do that >.< I knifed so many people during that round. >.> Knifed 2 whole squads to. :3

Stupid EA/Dice *mutter* they should fix their servers *mutter*

Other than that small issue, this was useful. I truly believe that no0bs (in both BF2 and BF2142) should read this. I place teamwork higher on the list than combat since every good fighter sucks without people to keep him (or her) alive. It is also hard to get teamwork points without medic whoring (MED WHORES SUCK!!!).

I hate joining squads and there being no objective. Usually I try to make my own squad and invite people, but no one ever joins.

Yeah I hate it too when ppl don't give orders, and when I try to make a squad and invite ppl to get more points no one joins

I thought after the demo when more people came to 2142 there would be more people actually leading a squad. I haven't seen more than one or two people lead properly since the release.
Its quite stupid considering how much the gameplay was tweaked to promote teamwork in 2142.

Or someone should make a video guide for noobs.

If someone makes that video they should also make one about the dangers of knifing the core of the enemy titan while someone demo-pak's it.

DICE ought to make it so you cannot spawn unless you are commander or are in a squad. Loners FTL. I stopped being a n00b the day I started joining squads in BF2, started using day one of BF2142 and I am no n00b in it.

The manage squad bit, where you invite people, doesn't show you if people are in a squad, so unless you look through all the other squads, which I doubt people do, you can't know if the person you are inviting is in a squad.
Someone else suggested that the player names should be colour-coded in the manage squad tab, I think this would be great.

I honestly agree with the fact that teamplay is almost non-existant in 2142, BUT let us not forget the days of BF2. When it was first released, there was like 1 squad per server. So I'm sure thigns will change as it becomes more competitive.

I find this annoying. I generally hit tab and sort by squad, then go down to the Unassigned bit, remember the names of the top scoring players, hurry back to the squad tab and invite them.

Then you get these jackasses who invite you to their two-man squad four times over...

this may be a little off topic but what i really hate is that even though your in a squad, you still get auto-balanced to the other team >_>,,, i'm wondering but does this still happen in 2142?

because i really hope they revised it so that only lonewolfs get shifted...

Yeah it happens in BF2142 but only once for me and I'm in a squad almost everytime.

And I'm seriously getting tired of people who keep sending me invites to me even if I'm in a squad allready, this happen a LOT to me. They should make so you can't recive a invite if you are in a squad.
