Well the veteran sniper badge requires 15 kills IAR and 15 hours. though ive gotten both already and i dont ahve the badge. Does it mean 15 Kills with the sniper rifle itself?
Nope, just 15 kills when you are using Sniper kit. You must have the 15 hours ticked before the 15 kills in a single round.
Yea i think Hes right, just 15 kills with any weapon in that kit and 15 hours and ur good to go
yeah he is only 15 kills with the kit also sometimes it takes EA a very long time to guve you your award well because its EA
as far as im aware mate, its just 15 kills as sniper. hope this helps.Kissmybumper wrote:

Once you have the 15 Hours line ticked in BF2S stats, then go forth and spam claymores/M95 for 2 minutes til you get your 15 kills in a single round. If you aint got 15 hours before the round, it aint gonna happen.
yeh, you have to get the 15 kills IAR after you have acquired the hours.
Also, even with the 15 hours logged, and then you get the 15 kills, sometimes it takes a minute to get the badge. Ive recieved badges In A Round way after I actually met the requirements. Expert Supply for example. I supplied a shit ton of troops then went into the fight. the screen did not say "you recieved an ammo point" but sure enough in the middle of fighting... DRUMROLL! So, make sure youhave the hours, are on a well known (reliable) server and get the kills before the last tickets are up.
OMG thats so lame, i played 40 to an hour when i literally saw that i needed 18 minutes let with the sniper and got 22 kills with a combination of claymore kills and L96A1 kills with it and i didnt get my badge.

it isnt like 15 kills is hard to accomplish. Ask any nade spamming clay whore
yeah i know that but i did get more than 15 kills after i counted that i finished my 15 hours. Well i finally got it due to probably i had to wait a bit. lol thanks everyone.
not rly man, some times on kark a get an urge but i tend to let off, but then aww i wont get into that. I got my vet and expert on wake, with like 4-5 clay kills so yea it aint too hard at all...the one bad part is you need to get the time in, and then the kills i hated that i was like WTF OMFG HAXS ON MY STATSORZ and yea, i found it out
With time, 15 kills via a sniper rifle doesn't seem like that much. It takes a bit of practice though. My suggestion. Find a map you are familiar with, as in, familiar with all of the exits from certain sniping spots, placement of vehicles, points of entries e.t.c, e.t.c. Because as a sniper, the more you know the better. Familiarity with your surroundings, in this case BF2 maps, plays a huge part in sniper kills. Personally, for sniping, I'm comfortable with Karkand and Wake. You might prefer different maps for sniping. Just make sure you lay down those claymores in strategically sound spots, they'll save your behind when you're in a pinch and rack up some kills for you as well.Kissmybumper wrote:

I got mine on Surge (SF). It really wasn't that hard. Just pick people off. Aim for the high rank guys first, cause I've found that they have a nasty ability to find you and then return fire. Once you drop him, look for the medic running to do the revive. Wait a sec, then kill them both. I was using the SVD when I got it. When someone is anti-sniping you while, shoot first. If you don't hit him, then wait for him to shoot and hit him while he's reloading. Hopefully your first shot has hurt him and then your follow up shot will finish him off. Use the rest of your kit. If you die and haven't dropped your two clays and exhausted your nades then you haven't played the kit right. Now when I play sniper, I find myself looking for a supply guy or box cause I've got no ammo. Always use a clay as protection from oncoming attackers (doorways, the bush in front/behind you). I'm amazed as to how many nade kills I get from people seeing me and simply going prone to avoid my fire. Just chuck a few nades at em... If anything, it'll make them move so you can get another shot off. Have fun!
I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
i got my vet/expert flyin chopper as sniper i believe.. or at least pretty sure i got the expert that way.. so u dont have to kill with the rifle that i can tell u for sure
Lol half the people here get it wrong again as usual. You need 15 hours in the kit, after which you need to make 15 kills in a round with the Kit. How you get those kills is irrelevant; use a chopper, tank or AA. It doesnt matter as long as you are a sniper.
If you want to get the badge the pure way go into a high points server. Rounds last longer there.

go sniper kit
go map karkand
get in a USMC tank/apc and rack up your kills like that easy
make sure you did have the 15 hours put in first .

I think what he means is: 'I had 15 kills IAR already and now I crossed 15 houres'
That doesn't matter, you have to get the IAR requirement again AFTER the global requirement, so jump in a jet/heli/tank or claywhore for the easy badge, or try shooting, a bit harder but probably more satisfying.

If you want the badge easy, get someone who's support to supply you with ammo and claymore whore on karkand (near the hotel) or warlord (in the palace).
Or, you could go the tough way and use just the sniper rifle and pistol with the occasional knife kill in for good measure, on a map like Wake, Kubra etc.

Good days.....
