bf2142 28,000 players i expected more on the new game but iam glad it hasnt happened that way yet .

I know only 2,000 in it but it proves bf2 is still holding its own and long may it live .

Before anybody flames me i have both games and i enjoy playing both .

Chou with EA's advertiseing every man and his dogs knows about bf2142 .But i dont want to see bf2 die for ages yets ,i couldnt care about stats its just the gameplay and fun for me .Iam in minority i havent whined about any of the patches i love them all and there quirks

Anyway, many people boycot 2142 because they want Dice to fix BF2 first and many other things.

I think it's amazing what they have done with the same engine, smart move as well because nobody really has to upgrade their machine in order to play that game, I was sceptic a while ago but I bought it before its official release and it got me hooked, dude I can't wait for the ingame advertising to start, I wanna see Jessica Alba doggystyle on a billboard !!

What more could a man want ?

Bf2 will be around for a long time.
I too don't give a rats arse about stats anymore, they were a good novelty, but i never changed my game play to to get a certain award, like some did. I wont miss them either when they're gone.
POE2 mostly for me, so much to do, such an awesome mod, but I still love a blast on Mashtuur once in a while.
I played 2142 beta and demo. I just don't understand what people see in it, it's shite. Each to their own i guess.

I've come to appreciate that DICE and EA, through BF2, have taught a very good lesson: People are tools and will buy your product even if you've proven to not give two shits about it once you get your profits, as long as the new product is promised to be better and looks pretty.

2142 can burn in hell. Futuristic combat doesnt interest me. So long as BF2 is going, im playing it. Its just too good a game to put on the shelf and leave alone.

Dont tell me i dont need to upgrade my comp. In order to run special forces smooth with no lag i had to spend over 500$ on upgrading and now i heard 2142 requires more? dice can kiss my @ss.

Uhh, that's a stupid analogy. You see, BMWs cost tens of thousands of dollars more than a piece of junk Civic. BF2 Deluxe Edition and BF2142 cost the same, more people are playing BF2, therefore more people enjoy BF2. You can't compare two things in two different categories... You failed.

no you fail and you just proved my point ... the analogy just shows that picking some metric that suits you is not a valid comparison (i.e. # of people currently playing one vs. the other). Read+think before you speak. I was making a likeness ot one game or the other. No sh^t people are playing bf2 more, 2142 just came out.l

Yes, becasue you dont like a game that means all those who play it are inferior. Thats just not a fair comparsion to make. I myself love BF2, but im a sci-fi persona nd like BF2142 better, expecially since it runs smoother the BF2 ever did. I never complained about one patch, and wether you like it or not eventully BF2 will become a ghost town. It doesnt matter if people like BF2, a new game will always draw players from its previous installment, just look at the past battlefield games.

I find it amusing people will say EA/Dice are crap becasue a game has bugs. If someone can show me one game that does not have bugs, at launch, or after patches, then the developer deserves a medal. Unless you can program a better game shut your damn mouth already. People spend years working on a game only for a bunch of jerks to call them "retarded" becasue their computers crash to desktop, becasue a programmer didnt do his job. Just becasue you have problems doesnt mean that EA/Dice are horrible, its the player community thats horrible.
