ok first off i have around 300 hours and i H A T E the word noob. i try to be a team plyr but not alot of others like to "squad up" and wrk as one. i have alot of time in a tank but tht got old so i moved to a helo, i suck in a helo (ok gunner tho) so now im on a jet kick. never and i mean never will i tk someone for one of the above. the thought of stat padding never crossed my mind because i dnt see the point in spending hours doin what ever padders do, it must be pretty boring. and someone above said that goin against better plyrs will help your game. i agree 100%. if you ply in a server with people of the same skill level youll never get better. its when you have to find a way to kill the guy/gal thts better than you tht will help you.
Ive had this game since early september, and im a first sarg now, i dont think i stats padd even if people consider stats padding is picking on lesser ranked players than yourself, i play sniper all the time basically, and at the end of the day i dont care what rank ya are, if i see ya ill shoot, i perfer to kill high ranking people for the simple fact that it pisses them off more i think.
Yep im not much for teamwork because well snipers and close quarters teamwork dont really mix, but at the same time i dont bitch about teamwork, basically every flag ive gotton, ive gotton by my self.
I do think that you learn from experiences while playing, ive been spawn killed alot, and ive learned to spawn away from the fighting, or if i cant do that, to run like hell.
Ive got the purple heart, but i was going for it, another medal to get so why not. and i realise that its NOT a good medal to get but i couldnt care less.
I dont vehicle whore, i perfer going on foot, unless i have to go along way, but i do sympathise with everyone that has fallen victim to dickheads who teamkill for a vehicle.
One thing i DO hate is peoples stupidity when claymores are involved, me being a sniper i use them (ya need to) and when ya up a crane or building, ya plant a claymore (PEOPLE CAN SEE THEM, AND IF THEY CANT USE YA BRAIN, THATS WHY THE POWER UP SIGN IS IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER) then all of a sudden you have team mates punishing you for climbing up your ladder and attemping to get past your claymore..... stupidity is a bitch. universally people grow a brain if a ladder has been claymored GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, dont ruin someone elses score, because you suffer from bouts of stupidity....

Just join a clan (if someone will take you, j/k). Someone might take you under his wing.
That's a pretty impressive spm and K/D ratio you have there, Rakasan.
Well, there's no point in being not very good at the game and complaining either...
But seriously, those of us who are good or have played for a long time want to experience the best that BF2 can offer. Battlefield is an excellent game and when you work together with a squad or with your friends there are few computer games that offer an equal amount of enjoyment.
Granted, some people are better at the game than others, but there is no need to complain about complainers
If you're looking for some tips on how to improve your scores or get better, try a new account. Be a medic or use a grenade launcher. Bunny hop. Dolphin dive. Get a better computer. There are plenty of tactics that may be "low-class" that will help you. Search the forums, post for tips, etc. Learn to love the ambrosia that is BF2

I will just make an overall observation. I started off just as shitting as the next guy when I bought the game, but after playing, running around with my head cut off, watching other higher ranking players I learned a few things. I would not consider myself an expert, but I am pretty good. I think alot of the fun is that there are all kinds of skill levels playing and YOU can make a server limited on rank, becuse I know other players who are as good or better than me who have started their accounts over again and are far below me rank...

I am not sure what your gaming history is at this point, but I for one have been playing Tactical Shooters or other FPS's for about 15 years now. Now why do I bring this up? Well a lot of what I have learned about playing games tends to hold true in most of the FPS's that I play. Yes there are different neuances for each game that you can pick up in one of two ways (experiance, and reading/learning from others), but the basics are pretty common to all games. Like stop moving = death. Now if your true desire behind posting this thread was to get some pointers just come out and ask brother. There are many long time gamers that are willing to help someone out. Now you just can't bust into a group of people and say "TELL ME, TELL ME, TELL ME" Also most of the people on this forum use the word Noob more to discribe Smacktards than new players. Granted some newer players come off as Smacktards mainly just because they don't know any better and get called Noobs. Just like ThomasMorgan said everyone has been through it. Hell sometimes after I have been watching football all day sunday, I am little tanked get on BF2 play and make some not so smart calls while playing. Just give it time you WILL get better I promise, or die trying atleast.
Well speaking of tanked, I just crawled home from the pub and have rambled on enough. Time to go sleep it off.

It's a bad day because you are using the wrong class, support is great class but you have to know how to use it. Try using the medic, you'll get a lot of team points and in close range u can use the m16a2 (2 bursts and an enemy is down). Try using the spec ops also and finally use the tanks and the apcs.DRB_Black wrote:

Imho it's not a question of high ranks versus low ranks, i often play on a server where there's also AraGoth and Blazin.uk (killed 1 time )
when i first started this game i was absolutely useless. got creamed each and every round. but from every pounding ya learn. if nobody teaches you what to do, at least you learn (the hard way) what NOT to do.

it was hard learning the ins and outs of the game for me as i had only one other friend who plays BF2, and we started out together.
my advise to you is to join an infantry based squad (hard to find i admit) and observe what they do. if they are anywhere half decent, you will learn plenty.

I'm with most of you guys and gals, when I first got the game back in September Il sucked big time but like most things you keep doing, learning and you get better. Its only very recently I've managed to level my K/D ratio and am now working to improve this. Not far from the 5000 kills either. What really annoys me is when you can actually manage to get to a vehicle before the whores get there and they jump up on it and when you drive off they fall off and die then punish you!!!!!!!!!!! or worse I've seen a few lie down in front only to get run over. Are they really that desparate to get the vehicle???? Come on its only a game meant for FUN!!!!!!

To be honest there're only 3 type of situations, that I can think of, that make me think twice about how stupid some people can be.
1st- TK on purpose just because a teammate is running to get a vehicle, heli, airplane that the tw@t wants.
2nd- People that after losing their oportunity to get a jet (ex: 5 people continuously pressing E to enter), put themselves in front of it, so the pilot gets the TK, and hopefully get kicked because of excessive Tks, so they achieve they stupid goal.
3rd- People who enter a server, and use Transport Helos or Jets as Guided Missiles.
But then again, everyone is free to do whatever pleases them. I just dislike the above mentioned situations, in which I'm sure I'm not alone.

Its about having fun and learning,ive had the game from day one and im only just getting better now and my k/d is shocking,however im working on it and maybe one day it may not be shite...lol

whats wrong with the purple heart? cant anyone think of a situation in which you earned it through good work and not giving up? you dont suck cos u got one u just had a hard round where you kept on trying. I got mine on sharqi penn tv station was the only flag left when i joined server, whole mec army was converging on the last flag cobras etc flying round the top shooting anyone who spawned...so what i died 20 times and got PH...i got shit loads of teampoints and eventually got 15 kills...i kept trying...kept healing peeps...kept swappping to support now and then to take out slicks...i earned that medal with pride because i tried my hardest to stop the mec taking last flag..in the hope someone might be able to cap another flag....and i bloody well enjoyed the round even though we lost........
Why should you be proud for having the PH, you get it when you have a K/D ratio of 5/20 . not something to be happy about. aslong as you don't get more its fine i gues.

The only advantage high rank players could have is to know the maps.
You can look around the maps in singleplayer so that isn't so hard.
There are a lot of guides here on the forum to improve your skills.
To seperate the players probably won't change a thing.
Aim, shoot, take cover, be quick..
