my friend just bought a laptop and now after installing bf2 the game wont run!
my guess is the graphics card might be not compatible? can anyone confirm this or something? The RUNDOWN:

There is a list of the cards that will run under specs on the EA/battlefield 2 site.

Some might just need the proper Driver...

More then likely its the video card... try putting like ATi X200 Mobile or w/e GeForce has for Mobile

Thats only IF he can take it back. He cant change out the chip.

I have the X200 Express, and BF wont play on mine. Now on my Lappy with the X1400, It runs like butter, and on the one with the 7300 It runs like butter, so When you get into the Bigger HArdware that CAN be replased down the road, Most games will play nicely. BUT your friend is going to pay a premium for the lappy for sure. Atleast $1000 to $1200 for an acer with the X1400 Ill give a link if he can afford one. Just ask. Great LAp top and has alot of Extras.

for gaming on a lappy you will want at least a mobility x1600 or a geforce go 7600. i guess a mobility x1400 will also do the job somewhat. (this is excluding old cards like the x800)
