I found this article to be eye-opening. My previous dislike for EA comes from reading all the anti-EA sentiment going around these forums in regards to how they've failed this community yet again by introducing new bugs with every patch, and how they reduced the power of some guns while increasing the power of others in order to make the gameplay more balanced and less realistic. However, after reading this article, I've found a new reason to dislike EA. Look at their employment policy and tactics in buying out other studios and completely killing their games in order to reach early releases, plus their lack of support for even the newest of games. Any company who considers profit and cost-cutting to be more important than their consumers and employees don't deserve any of these four things.

I have however one more comment directed at all users of this forum. In the future, don't blame poor programming and bugs on the employees (programmers and designers...) of EA, as, frankly, with those employment conditions (80hr weeks!) we're unbelievably lucky they're making games for us to enjoy at all!

What's your opinion?

I never knew why people hated them. They aren't taking you out of business, or aren't MAKING you buy anything. Its Just like the people at "the truth" saying that cigarette company's hate you and try and kill you.

Sounds like EA knows how to manipulate you playa's and make money by putting out a product and then halfway thru cut and run, take big the big profits, cut out competition and what ever else.
That means they probably make good money and you probably could too if you bought stock.  Check out ERTS and do your homework on them and if you can save up enough allowance maybe you can buy a share or 2 and bask in the greatness of capitalism.

Exactly. I'm just saying that companies shouldn't forget that they have a responsibility for their employees and customers.
