In order to play Battlefield 2142 online, you must have the following ports open in your firewall.  After you have these ports in the firewall then you shouldnt be getting ea master connection problem anymore.   So i hope this will help

TCP         17475
UDP             27900
UDP/TCP        29900
TCP             80
TCP         4711
UDP             27901
UDP             1500-4999
UDP/TCP         1024-1124
UDP             29900
UDP/TCP         27900
UDP             16567

im good with comps, not familiar with firewalls, how do we access the control list for the ports?

i found it
i went into windows firewall, and just added all the ports calling them EA 2142 - 1 , EA 2142- 3 etc...
i'll reply back in a bit if it works

Does it works????? some1 already did this..?

I thought there was something in the 2142 manual either "think"...

Im pretty sure this has nothing to do with a firewall. You have to forward the ports through your router.

okay....so I go ahead and enter the port #s, so how do I enter the ones with ranges since it gives me an error message when I try to put them in?
