Team kills now show #PLAYERNAME#[TEAMKILLS-#WEAPONNAME#]#PLAYERNAME#

Awards show point values when you recieve them ingame

Several notifications are in orange and/or large text, such as "we've lost an outpost!" "The enemy is boarding our titan!" etc. Weapon kill messages have not been altered, so no [RDX DemoPak "C4" Recon - tier 1 unlock - right tree] crap. I have only changed the english stuff, so if you have the game installed in another language it will not do anything. Extract to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\Localization, but keep your old file as a backup.

I wish there was a way to make the kill/death messages appear on the LOWER RIGHT hand side of the screen (a la BF2) instead of the current, often overlooked LOWER CENTER.

Something is wrong with the kill notification letters. Why are they blocking the background?
If that is just an issue with low graphics, then I might go for it, but if it is going to be like that in my screen, I might not want it.

Ya, I was looking at the picture you posted.
If thats the case then I am going for it and see what it does for me.
Currently I am trying to play 15 hours, 8 hours left, of Support only so that I have the time requirement for the Veteran Support Badge (this doesn't have anything to do with the post, why the hell am I saying this... Anyway)

Does this only work for the English translation? The Dutch doesn't seem to do much.
I Dl it and put the file in my instal directory in the <installdirectory>\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\Localization, overwriting the existing file.

Hey tupla_s, I found a bug in your file. Sometimes it just says #NIMI?..
I fixed it for the older version of your file, can you fix it by any chance?
Just search for it, its there multiple times in some (5 or 10) lines.

Yeah I noticed those too, it's my old version of excel doing those (It doesn't support the file type correctly i guess), but I have fixed it yesterday (or was it day before that ) and re uploaded it

I can't download VeNg3nCe's file (had to register for that, and i'm doing that as less as possible).
I modified (nice to have search and replace in Excel ) your version. Didn't come round to test it though.

But if it wordked, it would be a breeze to find and replace the stuf for all the languages (come to think of it, it is already happened, 'cause i replaced all instances)

If it workes out (and people want to, i'll upload it.)

no they aren't scanned by PB or anything (keep a backup of your old one though just in case). They are extremely helpful. Important info stands out a lot more.
