hi all, im new here, but ive been on at bf2rankedserver.com for a while now. Any way, i find that i have very choppy/laggy gameplay while playing SF, i play on high settings on normal bf2 without a problem but then comes SF and i lag ultra hard...so any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated...thanks

it has to do with the lighting.
in BF2, everything is lit up pretty much the same way. in SF there is dynamic lighting, thus creating more work for your compy.
at least, this is the answer i got from the EA tech forum. so if im wrong, blame them, not me.

oh...yeah....haha sorry, i didnt know you were looking for a solution. ive been drinking a bit
anyway, yeah, do that. i just play with graphics set as low as they go. i have a 256 mb nvidia geforce 6800 and a gig of ram...i can play BF2 with the graphics cranked up as high as they go...but graphics dont mean a whole lot to me. the performance is a bit better...and the best part about it is when i quit bf2, i dont have to wait a minute to do anything. it clears the ram almost immediately.
just toy around with the settings until you find an even balance between performance and prettiness.
