I'm fairly new to BF2, and having fun playing it. But one thing is beginning to annoy me - missing awards. Yes I know it seems to be an issue for many people, and there is probably nothing I can do about it. My Far east and Middle East service have green ticks against each requirement (looking at my stats page on BF2S), but the ribbons do not show up either in-game at BFHQ, or here. They have been this way for a week or so now, and I had accepted that it was just one of those things. But yesterday I was awarded my basic armour badge in game (got the drum roll etc...) but it does not appear in BFHQ, and I also managed to finish in first place, according to the score sheet at the end of the game, but the gold star does not show up in BFHQ either.

I know the basic armour badge is no big deal, as 10 mins in a tank isn't hard to clock up, but now there are 4 awards that do not show. Just had to get it off my chest. Thanks

Wait for your stats to update..

Its the weekend, and sometimes the stats servers get really busy..

wait a few days, if it doesn't show up.. Tough luck.. Your gonna have to get them again..

And you were playing a ranked server right?

wait until tomorrow, your star and your badge will come. the weekends are always backed up. as far as your service ribbons, you won't be getting drumrolls for those. They just appear. Check your awards in the actual game.

Just had a similar recurring problem on a ranked server! Went on for vet knife, needed one more kill to get it. Got 3 or 4 in a few minutes, and it didnt award it to me I'll have a cry now, and go stab more people now I have a reason to. Silly EA, will they ever learn?

If I got the "drumroll" and "congrats you've won a badge" message I'm assuming it was a ranked server

no it does not ----- make sure u check the box "ranked" in the setup

I love the awards in BF2, there a big part of why I play. And anytime I play, I play to achieve a certain goal within my awards/stats.

Alot of awards have IAR (In A Round) requirments, so you may have overlooked those, but if your sure you should have them, then it's probably just your stats taking a while to update.

The 2 awards I'm talking about (basic armour and Gold star) were awarded in-game, but if Jimbo21 is right that getting the award while playing a map does not mean it's ranked server, that would explain it. I usually check it's a ranked server before I join it, but perhaps I missed it this time.

...ah well
