Start the Overlay
Put in your Nickname EXACTLY like it is in TS
Turn on the alternate direct x method
Click done.
Click Enable
Click hide.
Start your TS
Connect
Start the game.

It should work (you'll know because the info will show up during the intros (if you haven't removed them otherwise you'll see the info on the login screen). If you don't you have to close everything and try again. Has to be done in that EXACT order the first time. I don't know why, but after that you can do it in any order and it'll work. By default everything is set the the left side. You have to set everything where you want it.

Would it not be possible to block these adds using a Hide-IP program? Maybe by spoofing an Australian IP if it's true Australia don't get the adds?

It looks at your IP to know where you are. The only other thing it does it record how long each ad is looked at. They don't even record how long YOU looked at the ad, just how long EVERYONE has looked at the at.

Television stations do the same friggen thing during sweeps. They find out what shows are being watched the most, so they can set a price for the ads that run during that show. Are the tv stations sending spyware to your boob tube? No. They are using information that is readily available to them to collect the data.

Once again for those who don't seem to be able to get it through your thick empty cranium; BATTLEFIELD 2141 DOES NOT CONTAIN SPYWARE!

The only way they can record how long EVERYONE has looked at the ad is by totalling the time each player has looked at the ad. So they must record how long YOU (or me, him, her, it, etc.) has looked at the ad.

They may not use the figures for individual players for anything else but they will have them.
