Hey guys, SaladFork here. You may remember my localization files (or the tutorial I wrote for them) for BF2. They were extremely popular, and over half of the screenshots I found posted throughout forums contained my localization files, or some variant of them.
Getting to the point, Battlefield 2142 does localization files quite differently from Battlefield 2, and it crashes if you do ANYTHING wrong. However, after playing around with it for a little while, I've gotten the hang of it, and managed to recreate my very popular localization files, but for 2142.
Additionally, I kept a changelog of EVERYTHING I changed in the localization files, so you know what to expect, and where to go if you want to change it to something else (variable names and line nunbers included in the changelog).
However, before I release my localization files, I wanted to get some input from you guys, the community. I have a few questions for you guys, and I would appreciate it if you took the time to answer them (even if only one).
All answers go directly towards the final creation of the localization files (and/or the tutorial), and everyone who contributed will be mentioned by name (alias, anyway) in both the tutorial and in the release thread.
Thanks in advance!

- Have you used my localization files before?
- Have you seen my localization file tutorial before?
- Would you be interested in downloading and using my localization files (incl. your own variation of them)?
- Would you be interested in downloading a tutorial teaching you the basics of how to edit the localization files?
- When it comes time to release, would you prefer a list of what I changed, descriptions of what I changed, or screenshots more?
- Is there anything in specific you would like me to include in my version of the localization files?
- Are there any typos, ambigious statements, or confusing HUD messages in the game that you have noticed, and wish me to fix?
- Please do not read this line.
- Did you read the above line?
- Would you like it if the game told you the career points you got for a award when you are awarded that award?
- Would you be interested in beta testing my localization files prior to release?
- If answered positively to the above question, how can I go about contacting you?
- Are there too many questions in this thread?
- Would you prefer the files released in a .zip archive, or in a .rar archive?
- Any additional comments?
